Eric Hulterman here, joined by Ryan Boyer on Paul Skeen's Day.

Ryan, we got the first start from the most anticipated pitching prospect in over a decade,

most anticipated since Steven Schrasberg seems to be the conventional wisdom here,

although I saw somebody try to claim Shohei Otani technically is a pitcher and sort of was a

prospect.

But you know what?

We'll say most anticipated since Steven Schrasberg.

What did you think of his first outing?

He only threw four innings, but other than that, everything else pretty excellent.

Yeah.

I mean, the stuff looked, looked amazing, looked as advertised.

Line looked pretty good.

Ran into a little trouble, what, the second or third inning gave up a home run to make a Horner of all people Miles Mastrobony got a

couple hits off of them I believe his first two hits of the season so a couple little

fluky things but but yeah, the stuff looked

excellent. Bummer that he couldn't get through five and qualify for that win, but,

you know, he, I think 75 pitches is the most he threw in a start in the minors. He went a little

past that today. So we'll be able to build from there. I'm not sure how

consistently deep he'll be able to pitching into games. But he did throw, what, 129 innings or something

...
