My son Lincoln failed. It was on the show Friday to preview his appearance on Fox News Saturday night tonight as I record this. But understand the link man, we had a chat

about, I think, a message that everybody should hear, whether you're a dad or not this weekend.

And it's the fact that we have a lot of the wrong metrics when it comes to categorizing what constitutes success in life.

A lot of people trying to get rich or, you know, break ahead in their field or hit some type

of career milestone. And one of the things kind of Lincoln agreed with during the course of

this interview, you know, kind of recalibrated me and it was cool to hear, but it's the fact that

kids just want to have a good time. And if you're a parent out there this weekend, struggling the make ends meet,

just have a good time with your kids. You don't need to get rich, okay? You don't need to get out there

and climb whatever career mountain it is you've been trying to scale. Yeah, it'd be nice to accomplish

that for your own good. But at the end of the day, kids just want to have a good time.

And if you're a good parent that's teaching right from wrong and showing your kid a good

time, you are a successful parent by any metric that matters.

Because what you want to raise are kids that are comfortable in their own skin and know

how to enjoy themselves.

Because the ability to laugh at yourself, the ability not to take life too seriously,

it's the most important skill you can develop.
