with Mercedes predictably bouncing back from yesterday's troubles to top the timesheets

courtesy of Valtteri Bottas, but not before Lewis Hamilton had visited the gravel trap.

I'm Ed Straw and to discuss all the news from

Bahrain, as Scott Mitchell and Mark Hughes. But before we get on to testing, we had the sad

news shortly before recording of the passing of the legendary Murray Walker, Formula One commentator

and motorsport commentator, extraordinary, an intrinsic part of the soundscape of Formula One and motorsport for so many years.

Mark Hughes, what are your memories of Murray?

Oh, you was just a wonderful, warm, lovely man.

And, of course, everybody knows the soundscape that you referenced,

and it's how people of a certain generation remember

falling in love with Formula One is to his accompaniment.

But when I began to get involved in the sport and I had the privilege of knowing him,

it was just such a great thing to discover what a,

what a lovely man he was in person.

And he was a master of his craft,

but he was also so self-deprecating about,

you know,

his own foibles.

And he used to incorporate it and just,

it was hilarious. And and I recall there was a
