answer some listener questions and then the klaxen of breaking driver news

appeared on our news feeds as well so we are going to still answer some listener questions but

then we have to also look into the driver announcements because Stroll is staying

Gazley is staying and there's strong hints of signs to Alpine I'm joined by Matt to Rumpets on a mat H Hello, Spanners. My, that was a really friendly hello.

That must mean you're pleased to see me and talk to me.

I am pleased, especially because we were supposed to do this yesterday and it was my travel woes

that denied us.

But this is the problem with the recording schedule that if we had have recorded that yesterday,

we would then be sitting here going, ah, we haven't had the confirmation of Stroll and Gazley which has dropped on our plates this morning. So I think where should we start?

Let's start with Gazley because that's the most surprising of the two with Akkon pretty much now has been confirmed to be leaving but we don't know exactly where Ocon's going

I thought we'd see Gazley looking at the exit door as well and you guys might disagree with this but I still think of

Gazley as a driver who's looking for that path to the top so he's still looking

for the opportunity to go and fight and go and challenge for titles. He hasn't reached that kind of, you know,

journeyman status of Holkenburg or where Ricardo found himself. So I'm surprised that he didn't jink sideways. He clearly

thinks that Alpine have something to offer going that way or they've convinced him of

that. Otherwise I don't think he'd have stayed there.

Well I think first of all he won't be at alpine he'll be at whatever team endstone is calling itself

next year and in 2026 and remember that we have a very strong indication that it will not be a Renault powered team in 2026 as well so that kind of does knock on the head the idea that they're
