Welcome to another Adam Schaefter podcast as we get ready to head into week nine of the

NFL season and we come out of what was the

single busiest NFL trade line day in NFL history.

Ten trades made on Tuesday alone that doesn't include the five that were made in the past week,

which means there were 15 trades over the last week as teams gear up for the second half of the season.

And when we woke up on Tuesday morning, we had no idea that there would be 10 trades.

We didn't know that T.J. Hawkinson would be traded from Detroit to Minnesota or that Chase Claypool would be traded

from Pittsburgh to Chicago. We did have an idea that Bradley Chub would be headed to South Beach

in a mega deal with the Denver Broncos, but we didn't know that Calvin Ridley would be traded

from Atlanta to Jacksonville. We didn't know that Neheme Hines would be traded from Indianapolis to Buffalo or that the

Chiefs would trade cornerback Rashad Fenton to Atlanta or that Buffalo would

reacquire safety Dean Marlowe from Atlanta.

But all of that happened and unfolded on what was the single busiest trade line day

that we've seen. And I think what it's

about as much as anything is that the new guard of general managers and front office executives

have essentially grown up in an environment where it's okay to try to improve your team,
