Your liver and kidneys handle detoxing 24/7. Lemon water doesn't "flush" toxins, but its hydrating effect helps your kidneys filter waste more easily. "It melts fat/boosts metabolism." There is no evidence that lemon water directly burns fat. However, it can help with weight management by replacing high-calorie drinks or reducing hunger before a meal. "It alkalizes your blood." While lemon juice is alkalizing after metabolism, it cannot change the pH level of your blood (which is strictly regulated by your body). ADD The Anti-Inflammatory Duo: Turmeric & Black Pepper Turmeric is famous for curcumin, a compound with powerful anti-inflammatory effects. However, curcumin is notoriously difficult for the body to absorb on its own.
