You were early on. So, yeah, obviously, your story is out there on the Afterburn podcast, and you've been on a few other ones. Today, I'm excited to talk because one, you have a book coming out, unlocking the last 20% that's coming out here very shortly. And then just

with your expertise when it comes to AI being a test pilot, the planes you've flown, the things

you've done, there's been a lot that's transpired in the aviation world over the last couple

years. So I think we have a few things to talk about. And I'm curious to pick your brain on a few

of those. Yeah, no, absolutely. Glad to be with you.

Glad to share my biased perspective on life and aviation and what have you.

But yeah, I think you're absolutely right.

There is just so much change that has happened and continued changes on the horizon.

Maybe it would be a good point start just from a catch-up standpoint from, I believe last time we spoke, you were starting to dabble into

the artificial intelligence space, specifically with the United States Air Force. So could you

give me kind of a quick recap of what you've been doing over the last

couple years and how you fit into this puzzle piece that is now the surge in artificial

intelligence and aviation? Yeah, no, absolutely. I joined you back when I was the director of

the MIT and Department of the Air Force AI Accelerator. So our organization was

trying to help shape dual-use technology, dual-use research in partnership with MIT and MIT-Lincoln

Labs to make sure that we're able to focus on some of the equities that the department would

care about, so Air Force and Space Force.

From there, I had the opportunity to go down to Eglon Air Force Base, and I became the 96 Operations Group Commander.

So that base is a developmental test base primarily.

There's actually like nine wings that are on that installation.

It's a humongous installation.

But the test wing owns the base.
