NFC East and boy oh boy do we have some stuff to talk about this week. I

thought we would be leading off the show this week talking about

Dak Prescott's contract situation and I've got blogging the boys

R.J. Ochoa coming up here in just a few minutes to talk about what it means be that

Prescott did not sign a long-term extension and that he's going to play this

year on the franchise tag for thought for sure that was going to be the big news but

oh that Washington football team they just can't stand not being the A story can they so we're going to get to

Dak Prescott here in just a second but the last time we spoke a week ago

Washington was considering changing their team name.

They were doing a thorough review of the Redskins name and

since that time they announced earlier this week that on Monday they were

officially going to drop the name Redskins from the

from the NFL franchise's website the logo everything else they were they were done

with Redskins and they were going to move on and they were going to pick a new name.

And we still don't know what that name is, that we were hoping we would get an answer on that on Monday.

I did see reports that the name that they prefer is locked up in some kind of trademark battle so who knows

exactly when it's going to be ready for now we just refer to them as the Washington

franchise with the Washington team but that wasn't even the big news of the week.

On Thursday, a bombshell report drops in the Washington Post, which claims 15 former female

employees and two journalists who covered the team have accused team staffers of sexual harassment and verbal abuse.
