championship game between the Philadelphia birds and the San Francisco 49ers 3 o'clock

everybody feeling good about the Eagles chances of getting back to the Super Bowl for the

second time in five years joining me in just a moment to help break it all down is Rob

Statz Carrera, one of the great minds on the 49ers. He's going to join us in a few minutes

from the gold standard podcast to talk about Brock Purdy. We're going to talk about the 49ers

offense matchups to watch the defense. How he thinks the Eagles are going to come at them

and what the 49ers could do. We got a lot to cover here on this edition of the podcast,

but just kind of set some things up here for you. The 49ers come into this game riding a 12

game winning streak. This is the second ever meeting in the postseason between these two teams.

The Eagles lost back in 1996 on a rainy, muddy, nasty day in San Francisco 14 to nothing.

Just last year, these two teams met up with the 49ers beating the Eagles 17 11. I believe

that was in week two. This is the Philadelphia Eagles eighth NFC championship game that's been

talked about quite a bit over these last few days. This is the 18th NFC championship game for

the San Francisco 49ers. And really, this is a matchup of two very evenly matched teams.

The 49ers all season long have been great against the run. The Eagles running game has been

maybe the best in the NFL. The Eagles passing game has been on fire. But the 49ers do a great job

in the past against the past in a lot of different ways. Some trouble with wide receivers.
