I'm Dave Anthony. Today, a Republican senator who was not happy when we talked to him. Why?

Because Bill Haggerty, who's from Tennessee, found out he was among nine GOP lawmakers, eight senators and a House member,

who had their phone records tracked, logs of who they called, locations of those on the other line,

during the Biden administration, underscoring what Republicans call the weaponization of government targeting them.

At the heart of the new controversy, his special counsel, Jack Smith, who later led two criminal

cases against then former president and candidate Trump on the handling of classified documents

and 2020 election interference. Both were dropped after the Trump 2020 for victory.

Now, the Senator phone tracking was part of what was called Arctic Frost, probed into the 2021 January 6th

Capitol riot. And we talked to Senator Haggerty the same day. Attorney General Pam Bondi testified at a Senate hearing and sparred with Democrats who claim it's President Trump weaponizing government now to go after his political rivals.

Well, for time reasons, we had to cut out some of what the senator had to say and, as you'll hear, what the senator had to react to some of what Pam Bondi had to say at the hearing.

So it's all very interesting.

Joining us on the Fox News Rundown is Senator Bill Haggerty, Republican from Tennessee, who is one of the eight GOP senators, as we've learned this week, were part of an investigation dating back to the Biden administration with Special Counsel Jack Smith, who ultimately in his probes got two indictments

against then former President Trump. But this was a probe into what happened with the January

6, 2021 Capitol riot. And the Arctic Frost investigation then, they looked at the records,

the phone logs for eight different senators and one Republican in Congress as well, and Senator Haggerty was among them.
