And I was having a discussion with my family last weekend that really annoyed me.

Me, my brother and my mum and dad were chatting and we got into the subject of breastfeeding.

I said I figured that I'd just do it wherever my baby needed feeding.

My brother said that he thought it was inappropriate for me to do it where people were eating.

I said my baby would also be eating and he needed to get over it.

What's more, my parents joined in saying they thought there was a time and place for it.

I'm kind of shocked that they feel like this in this day and age and I thought we were past shame in women and mothers.

Do you think there's anything I could do to get them to come round to be more open-minded?

Yeah, I think there was some stuff you can do to get them to be more open-minded.

But this doesn't surprise me. I think that there still is a bit of an old school mentality when it comes to breastfeeding.
