Today's episode is just a short teaser of a bonus episode that I put out today on Patreon.

I wanted to post this here as a reminder for you guys.

As promised, I recorded an extra hour with Kenan Takahashi after our main episode.

It was so much fun.

It was really, really good.

I really mean that.

I asked him a ton of mustache questions, which you're going to hear in the free teaser.

And then we had a very cool conversation about the Japanese climbing culture and what differentiates it from the USA.

Keenan talked a lot about their relationship with passion and obsession and how normal it is there

and how striking that was for him and how deeply it resonated.

I thought it was really cool.

I've been thinking about it ever since our conversation and it definitely has made me think

differently about myself and

how I feel kind of judged sometimes in the States for being, you know, for taking climbing too

seriously. It's kind of a weird thing that we do here in the States. And it's very cultural,

turns out. So that was really interesting. And then we also talked about his experience on a couple of his craziest highballs that he's done. We talked about a little life and also about this thing in Rocklands that he did called Doomsday, which is totally insane. It's like 40 feet tall. It's a free solo, V9, basically. And both of those things kind of spooked him.

And they were kind of his closest calls that he's had.

He's done a lot of highballs, but those two were especially spicy and left him thinking

very differently about his future as far as highballs go, the amount of risk that he's willing to accept. He's also

still willing to put himself out there and make some exceptions for a couple remaining highballs

that are really important to him. So we talked about upcoming goals and future highballs as well.
