Summary

Supreme Court of the United States Justice Neil Gorsuch was the first of President Donald Trump's three nominees to be confirmed to the highest court in the land. As of today, he has been there for nine years and has already been a part of several rulings that could change the course of America’s future. But as the USA prepares to celebrate its 250th birthday, Justice Gorsuch is looking back. In a new children's book he co-authored with Janie Nitze, he is trying to help kids understand the people who helped form our country and how they shaped the world we live in today. “Heroes of 1776: The Story of the Declaration of Independence" highlights our history through the thoughts and actions of ordinary people who did extraordinary things. Justice Neil Gorsuch recently joined Fox News Rundown host Gurnal Scott to discuss the book and America’s 250th birthday. He discussed some of the people in American history that not only kids but also their parents may not know about, and why learning about America’s past should give us confidence that our country can overcome today's challenges. Justice Gorsuch also discussed his day job a bit and what he believes his responsibility is on the Supreme Court. We often have to cut interviews short during the week, but we thought you might like to hear the full interview. Today on the Fox News Rundown Extra, we share our entire interview with Justice Gorsuch and let you hear more from someone with a front-row seat to the inner workings of American government.
