Summary

Many of the values that were once held up as defining aspects of the country now seem to be fading in importance for Americans. That's according to a recent Wall Street Journal-NORC poll. Patriotism, faith, hard work, and having children are just some of the values that the survey shows have seriously declined in comparison to just two decades ago. On the FOX News Rundown, host Lisa Brady spoke to both former Congressman Jason Chaffetz and Democratic strategist Leslie Marshall to get their reaction. Both FOX News Contributors were not surprised by the poll and shared concern about the trend. However, they disagreed on some of the reasons why Americans feel less patriotic or connected to their faith or community. Due to time limitations, we could not include all of our entire interviews with Jason Chaffetz and Leslie Marshall in the original segment. On the FOX News Rundown Extra, you will hear everything both said about the poll, the state of our country, and why they both believe lawmakers and citizens should be concerned by the poll's findings.
