This is the Fox News rundown, Extra.

Emily Sabrina, if I say the word patriotism, what's your first thought?

Maybe the American flag or a feeling about the country?

Or is it politics?

Some words and priorities aren't what they used to be, comparing now to 25 years ago in

a Wall Street journal, Norck Hole, Norck a nonpartisan research organization at the University

of Chicago.

Following the findings, political and generational divides on a variety of what many would call

America's bedrock values.

Fewer than four in ten surveyed 38 percent, called patriotism very important to them now,

versus 70 percent in 1998.

39 percent call religion very important, just 30 percent say the same about raising children,

and while 58 percent say tolerance for others is important, that number was 80 percent

just four years ago.

The only priority gaining ground in the poll is money.

We spoke with guests offering different perspectives on the shift and whether the nation's

divisions are taking its toll.

First up, former Utah Republican Congressman Jason Chaffetz, Fox News contributor, and

host of the Jason and the House podcast, then Leslie Marshall, Democratic strategist and

also a Fox News contributor.
