For the first time in American history, the House ousted its speaker Eight House Republicans, siding with the House Democrats, voted to remove Kevin McCarthy. Those eight republican 'rebels' were quickly attacked by pundits and members of their own party, accused of trying to create 'chaos' or putting their own ambitions before the country.
