Good morning my friends and welcome back to the morning mindset. It's time for you and for me to get our minds aligned with the truth of God.

I want to read you an account from the Gospel of

Matthew today to help us kind of set our minds right in this crazy time that we're

living in with COVID-19, a virus spreading across the globe and governments and agencies

telling us we should socially distance ourselves from others to help prevent

the spread of the disease and I'm all for that.

I think we should be wise in the way that we handle situations like this and that we

should use the knowledge that science has given us. But for us has believed we should be

use the knowledge that science has given us. But for us as believers in Christ,

there should be an additional perspective. Actually, it should be our primary

perspective that we're looking through, the lenses, the glasses we're looking

through to see this entire situation.

And I think we'll find that principle here in the passage I'm going to read to you from

Matthew chapter 8 verse number 23. In the passage I'm going to read to you from Matthew

chapter 8 verse number 23 is where we're going to begin.

And Jesus was with his disciples they had just finished teaching and

ministering to a crowd of people who were in need and it says

Jesus got into a boat and his disciples followed him and behold there arose a great

storm on the sea so that the boat was being swamped by the waves, but he was asleep.

And they went and woke him saying,

Save us Lord, we are perishing. And he said to them, why are you afraid, oh you of

little faith? Then he rose and rebuked the winds and the sea and there was a great calm and the men marveled saying
