0:00.0	Like we're acculturated to believe that if you're accused of a crime, that like you're like you're the accused, you're a defendant.
0:06.0	Like you're not Ian. You're not Thomas. You're just like like you're a crime, you know.
0:14.0	And something that like I always ask, you know, in jury selection is do you think that just because someone got arrested,
0:21.2	they must have done something wrong? Because, like, growing up, I remember, like,
0:25.7	watching TV shows like cops and, like, or, like, law and order. And, like, everyone, like,
0:33.4	all the TV shows, all the media, everything is all centered around like prosecuting people.
0:40.3	And of course the guy who's being arrested is being, you know, the guy that iced tea arrested in SVU.
0:46.2	Of course he's like he's a, he's a terrible guy.
0:48.4	And like, is he going to get away?
0:49.5	No, he's never going to.
0:50.1	They're never going to get away with it because they're all bad guys.
0:53.1	And kind of like by extension, we start to think that everyone is accused of a crime is somehow bad.
1:01.8	And I just don't think that's the case.
