Ephesians chapter 5 verses 1 through 11.

Therefore, be imitators of God as beloved children,

and walk in love as Christ loved us and gave himself for us a fragrant

offering and sacrifice to God. But immorality and all impurity or covetiousness must not even be named among

you. As it is fitting among the Saints, let there be no filthiness nor silly talk, nor levity, which is not fitting.

But instead, let there be Thanksgiving.

Be sure of this, that no immoral or impure man or one who is covetous, that is an idolater,

has any inheritance in the Kingdom of Christ and of God. Let no one deceive you with empty words.

For it is because of these things that the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience.

Therefore, do not associate with them.

For once you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord.

Walk as children of light, for the fruit of light is found in all that is good and

right and true and try to learn what is pleasing to the Lord.

Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them.

I want to begin by distinguishing a Christian call to pro-life activity and a non-Christian call to pro-life activity.

And let me say at the outset that I am very glad and I affirm the existence of non-Christian calls to pro-life

activity. I'm glad that there are atheists for life. Not that I'm glad that there are atheists. I'm just glad that if they're going to be atheists, they'd be atheists for life.

I'm glad that there are radical secular groups called feminists for life.

We were reading some of their material in the van on the way back from our

retreat last week. I'm glad that they exist. One of the things that makes America work is that truths that Christians can deduce from Jesus,

unbelievers can deduce from other sources. If that were not possible, I don't think there

be any hope that America, this pluralistic land of liberty, could ever function over the long haul.
