0:05.2	Yeah, so the simplest way to describe what happened to me and my husband and our children is that we were systematically bullied out of a church we loved.
0:17.1	I had been there for 23 years of my life.
0:19.6	I was actually there when the church started, and my
0:22.7	husband served for two decades when the senior pastor, who was also the founding pastor, because
0:30.5	he did not have any accountability over him, was able to unilaterally issue us an unbiblical
0:37.2	and truly heartless ultimatum, which forced us to leave,
0:42.9	not only the church, but our entire life behind.

1:02.3	they're just defending the work of god but they're doing it by attacking individuals in the church
1:08.2	because they can't see the difference between their own ego and the reputation of Jesus and a problem any leader can fall into very easily including myself
1:16.6	anybody can so let's walk through like what happened and and this is this was not just some private
1:24.2	thing and this is not I mean this this pastor's known and has significant reach
1:29.3	and i suspect has done this probably to many people other than just you these tend to be
1:35.1	patterns of behavior so please if you would start at the beginning yeah um well so my story
1:43.5	has to start back in my early 20s, and I'm not going to go through every year of my life.
1:50.4	But actually, even before that, I grew up in a cult, and by the time my parents discovered that it was abusive and a cult, I was 14.
2:00.6	And so we moved at that time clear across the
2:03.1	country to Southern California. And my teen years and early college years were just void of any
2:10.3	intentional faith practices in our family and in my personal life. So I was living the
