Summary

Day 9 of the Sean “Diddy” Combs federal trial was jaw-dropping. Rapper Kid Cudi took the stand and told the jury his Porsche was firebombed just weeks after he started dating Cassie Ventura. He says Diddy broke into his house, turned the security cameras, and left his dog locked in the bathroom.  Also on the stand: a former assistant who says he watched Diddy assault women but stayed silent to protect his career. And a makeup artist who says she found Cassie Ventura battered, with a swollen eye, busted lip, and knots on her head, too afraid to go to the ER.

He was the king of Bad Boy Records: a billionaire mogul, a Grammy winner, and the face of luxury in hip-hop. Sean “Diddy” Combs is facing a slew of federal charges in New York, accused of running a criminal enterprise for over two decades. Combs has pleaded not guilty to all charges.

A lot of stuff may be kind of sad today.

But the jury heard from a former assistant who said that he watched the abuse happen in real time and did nothing to stop it.

They heard a Grammy winning artist who says Diddy torched his car, broke into his house, and left his dog

0:55.7

traumatized. Yeah, now I'm mad. I'll tell you what, whenever a dog comes into the story,

1:02.7

clearly, because I have Atlas, there's something about it. And I think a lot of us are the same.

1:08.1

We get really angry whenever we think that a dog might not have been treated well, or a cat or a pet of some kind. So, you know, bringing the pet factor in, that had an effect on the courtroom. They also heard in that courtroom from a makeup artist who said that she was with Diddy's girlfriend, Cassie, at a party, at the home of Prince, when something bad happened. I guess Cassie at a party at the home of Prince when something bad happened.

1:30.6

I guess Cassie wasn't supposed to be there.

1:32.3

And afterwards, Diddy burst into their hotel room and pulled Cassie behind closed doors.

1:38.1

Afterwards, Cassie was bruised and bleeding and begging not to go to the ER.

1:43.6

And through it all, Diddy sat there in his gray sweater,

1:47.3

his white shirt, and his gray slacks, totally relaxed, even blowing a kiss to his cousin in the gallery.

This wasn't just another witness lineup. This was a day of reckoning. And the jury was all eyes

and all years. So let's just start from the top.

2:02.4

Okay. George Kaplan, Diddy's former assistant, he was back on the stand this morning. And remember

2:08.0

George, he has already testified that he was asked two times by Diddy to do drug runs, right?

2:15.6

Diddy said, uh, call this number. here's the money, go get the drugs,
