Well hello and welcome to this week's naked scientists with Helen Scales.

Hi Helen hello and also with me Chris Smith now coming up in this week's show a

trick that viruses use to actually spread a lot faster.

Cells that are already infected, it appears, bounce viruses off in the direction of fresh

uninfected cells and that boosts up the infection rate.

We'll hear how it works shortly.

Also we'll find out how plants can switch between different animal pollinators that

enables them to avoid getting eaten, which is important, and also scientists have

unlocked the brain's mental map.

This is researchers who have discovered how the brain actually works out where we are

and where we're going most of the time.

And hopefully they'll be able to help me because I've gone an atrocious sense of direction.
