Well, lawmakers in Washington, D.C. are actually working on legislation to ban stock trading for members of Congress and the president and vice president after years of discussions.

With just hours to go until President Trump's Friday deadline when hefty tariffs kick in for global trading partners that haven't reached a deal. The president announcing an agreement with South Korea

for billions of dollars a new U.S. investment and 15% tariffs on goods entering the U.S.

It's literally trillions of dollars ultimately being brought into our country. We're now negotiating

with various other countries. Chair Jerome Powell cited Trump's tariffs as a driving force behind the Fed's decision to leave interest rates unchanged for seven straight months.

To the deep disappointment of the developer in chief.

We're keeping the rates high and it's hurting people from buying houses, and we don't want

that.

There was better than expected news today on the economy.

America's gross domestic product, the nation's output of goods and services rebounded

from negative territory in the first three months of the year to a healthy 3 percent annual

pace from April through June. Remember those stimulus checks

from the pandemic money deposited into your bank account from the federal government? Well,

a similar idea has been introduced on Capitol Hill, not because a global health emergency

may be on the horizon, but because of all of the revenue being brought in through tariffs.
