Armaments of the Orcs

The Orks are a bit of an outlier in the 40k universe that really helps to make the setting feel a bit more unique compared to standard grim dark sci-fi.

They're not boring humans or ravenous aliens or dark forces of chaos, but rather they're a strange fungal species that speak in cockney accents

and absolutely love nothing more than to drive fast and shoot everything in sight.

Orks possess a concept called DACA, taken from the sound of automatic weapon fire, that means a number of things

to orcs, but generally, the more DACA a weapon has, the better. The loudest and heaviest gun

that has the most DACA is therefore the best one, and that really sums up just about all

orc culture.

In this video, we'll take a brief look at many of the various weapons of war that

orcs possess, even if there's really no limit to the ways that orcs can come up with

to spread their love of bullets and bombs.

To begin with, it's impossible to discuss orc weaponry without discussing how exactly

they function at all. Ork weaponry, vehicles, and equipment are pretty much always cobbled together

from various other bits into crude-looking forms that appear on the surface to be barely, if at all, functional.

What allows these pieces of text to function is a psychic field, innately generated by orcs,

which grows more potent the more orcs there are in one place.

To put it plainly, orc technology functions, in part, because they believe it will function,

and this concept extends throughout their entire culture.

Because they believe that red things go faster than other things, they often will paint

their vehicles red, making them actually go faster.

In combination with this, orc equipment isn't mass produced in factories the same way it is

for more civilized factions, and an orc will often customize their weapon in extensive ways,
