The End of Death

Dine is a perpetual fear for mankind, both for ourselves and for others we care about.

Fear of death guides many of our actions through life, for most people,

and humanity has continued to evolve and develop in order to prolong our lives as much as possible.

In the SCP universe, death is a common horror, as countless anomalies are responsible for

increasingly horrific ways for people to die, from civilians to D-Class, to MTFs, and so on.

An individual that's unable to die, such as Dr. Bright,

Connor from the Confinement Series, or SCP-076 can be a valuable asset or a dangerous weapon.

But what if no one could die? What if death ceased to exist as a concept, and every person and animal had immortality forced upon them? The foundation has considered the consequences

of such a situation, believing the likelihood of it occurring to be near impossible.

Today we'll be looking at a timeline in which that exact scenario plays out, called the end of death. Much like the broken masquerade timeline, this is a separate canon that combines both tails and various SCPs,

so it's just a fun alternative look at the SCP universe.

The end of death occurred instantaneously, like someone just flipped a switch.

In that moment, death no longer existed as a fundamental concept of our universe, at least for animals.

Nothing was brought back from the dead, and people don't become zombies or anything like that,

but things just didn't die, regardless of damage done to their bodies.

We get our first major look at how the foundation handles things with SCP 3984.

We're given a note left by a doctor working on studying the end-of-death situation, Dr. Emily Young.

Two things become immediately clear.

The foundation doesn't know what caused this situation, and they don't know how to revert

things back to normal.
