0:07.9	One very common setting for horror stories is that of the small, sleepy town located in the middle of nowhere.
0:16.5	These sorts of settings are the bread and butter of horror authors like H.P. Lovecraft and Stephen
0:21.8	King, and there's been a fair share of SCPs connected to small towns.
0:27.6	These places have their own way of life, their own histories, their own cultures, and
0:32.5	they can often seem a little strange to outsiders, making them ripe for mystery and disquieting dread.
0:41.4	SCP 5050 is about one such town, where not everything is as it should be, but the foundation's
0:48.6	history with the town is not as it seems at first glance either. Let's take a look.
0:55.8	SCP 5050 is a large radio tower in the Bavarian Alps on the border between Austria and Germany,
1:03.9	specifically the Mittenwald municipality of Germany and the Innsbruckland District of Austria.
1:11.4	The tower constantly emits signals ranging from 2 kHz to 279 gigahertz over a large area,
1:20.0	with the maximum effective range estimated to be within 1,374 meters.
1:26.8	The frequency range produced by the tower is so extreme as to be considered anomalous by the
1:32.3	disruption of applied physics.
1:35.0	In addition to radio signals, the tower also broadcasts television and audio signals,
1:41.1	which are occasionally intercepted by the foundation.
1:45.0	Because the process to intercept them requires a significant amount of time, the broadcasts
