The Daveite Covenant had their issues, participating in mass slavery and blood sacrifice,

but at the very least they valued knowledge, learning, and culture.

The Abominate and its prophet, the Black Star, on the other hand, only seemed to value

conquest and bloodshed, effortlessly conquering Amani Rahm before setting their sights on

the Deva.

The foundation is determined to find out how exactly the Black Star managed to annihilate both

the Mechanites and the Devites, and hopefully use that information against their current threats.

Knowledge, of course, comes with a price, though. It's just a matter of who pays for it.

We begin again with another set of verses from what is presumably the song of the Deva,

which reads,

As witnessed by Raplateri, fifth Rajmata of the Scarlet Maharasia.

And once the beast had laid waste to Amunni Ram, torn the city asunder, and set the armies loose

to tear each other apart, it continued its dreadful march across the desert, and into the

jungles and forests of the covenant.

And in this it was victorious, for it had slaughtered the grand armies at a money-Rom,

routing the men and spirits of the Deva from the battlefield,

sending them into a desperate retreat through the thickets and undergrowth,

to Mamjul, to salvation.

And so it was that the armies of the Deva were forced to abandon their

peoples, their sacred charge and those of their children, as they formed a great mass,
