Project Palisade, Part 1.

What would you sacrifice to protect those you care about?

While that may sound like the tagline for a bad action movie, it is an interesting question, nonetheless.

The SCP Foundation and its members know a good deal about sacrifice, with one of their common

mottoes being, We die in the dark so that you can live in the light.

They've sacrificed D-Class, researchers, field agents, and sometimes even civilians, all in the

pursuit of protecting humanity.

Project Palisade is yet another scenario in which the foundation faces the threat of mass extinction,

and they have to ask themselves exactly how much they're willing to sacrifice.

Project Palisade begins with a file written up by the FBI's unusual incidents unit,

detailing an anomalous individual that suddenly manifested inside of a government facility.

There are a couple odd things about this file, starting with the fact that the foundation

obtained it from SCP 1437, an endless

hole that connects to an unknown number of parallel dimensions.

So far, they've only obtained files through SCP 1437 that were written by the foundations

of other universes, so getting a UIU file is rather strange.

Secondly, the document opens with the UIU referring to the foundation as an anomalous terrorist organization,

when normally the UIU is on pretty good terms with the foundation.

The individual described in the file is a mail that was wearing foundation-issued fatigues at time of initial arrest, and only offered his name as Agent Duma.

Duma suddenly manifested in the middle of Fort Hoover, with the UIU suspecting that he possesses some form of anomalous teleportation capabilities,

although he has yet to teleport or disappear since.

He seems to be a foundation agent, but the foundation completely denied Duma's existence,
