More Marshall, Carter, and Dark, SCPs

Marshall Carter and Dark, or MC and D, are the premier peddlers of anomalous objects in the

SCP universe. If you can dream it, they can almost certainly buy, borrow, steal, or

otherwise make it happen, for the right price.

They are naturally, fairly opposed to the foundation in most aspects, and the foundation

regularly raids their warehouses and events to contain some anomalies before they're shipped

off to the highest bidder.

There are quite a number of SCPs in the Foundation's database that are connected to the shady organization,

but most of the time this mention is only in passing, with the article mentioning that the anomaly was purchased

or sold at one point by MC&D. Let's take a look at a handful of anomalies

that MC&D were a bit more involved in, for better or worse. Let's start with SCP 2987, an

SCP that I mentioned briefly in my video on Anderson Robotics, but let's go over it in a bit more detail.

It's a modified MSI brand external hard drive, capable of holding any file or files that constitute an artificial intelligence,

regardless of the file's size. Its secondary firmware is reportedly capable of converting an artificial intelligence

into a form of currency that is acceptable by any being or entity which would normally require a human soul

to complete transactions or offerings.

Along with recovering the hard drive, the foundation also recovered complete instructions for its use,

which have been verified to work.

After connecting the hard drive to a computer system with a USB cable and allowing the drivers to be installed, you should copy your artificial

intelligence files to the hard drive, ignoring the file sizes and listed drive space.

Then, access the external hard drive from the operating system, noting that only Windows

XP, Windows 7, and Auction House, MC&D's proprietary operating system, are supported.
