Well, every once in a while, you pick up a book that impacts you in a way that just leaves you

stunned.

Well, today's author wrote one such book.

I didn't even know what to expect.

I get stacks of books on my desk every day for this radio show. And I grabbed this

book. I was curious about it. Didn't know the author. I read his bio. He's been hugely successful

as a novelist in the general market. In fact, the book, The Mountain Between Us, went to the

big screen starring Kate Winslet. Maybe you saw that film. Well, this book, the one we're talking

about today is unlike anything I've ever read.

You read these stories that he writes from scripture. Maybe you've heard of biblical fiction

where an author takes scripture and then just turns it into almost a novel. You feel like

you're there. I could feel the dirt underneath my feet as I watched scenes with Jesus unfold,

really, that took my breath away. And then suddenly he would

just pause and give some commentary on what we had just read. This book, I'm telling you, is so
