| 0:00.0 | Welcome to Exploring the Industry. This is our final episode of season one. And for those of you who've just joined us in the Exploring the Industry over the last three episodes or if you've been with us since episode number one, it started out as a CBN news show where we actually were interviewing people by videos. |
| 0:22.0 | So you can still see those videos that are bulls YouTube if you want to go to bulls ministries or shambles at YouTube. And we had I think the first maybe 10 were produced as TV shows. |
| 0:31.0 | And then the coronavirus hit and it caused us to go into this format and podcasting but we have loved it because we've been able to access people that we wouldn't have been able to fly in or bring in very quickly. |
| 0:42.0 | And so we've been able to get to a lot of different people we had launched because of this we were already launching Exploring the Marketplace podcast with my cohost, Love Hassan, it's on Fridays. |
| 0:52.0 | And we turned us into the Exploring series. So Wednesdays is Exploring the Prophetic. And it's just an amazing series we've been doing. We've been having tons of listeners because you guys are sharing with your friends and your family and people are enjoying the conversation. |
| 1:05.0 | But this particular one Mondays Exploring the industry has been one of my passion projects because I believe we need to not only have a functional relationship a healthy relationship with the entertainment industry and those who are making it who are Christians. |
| 1:18.0 | But we need to understand how to be able to partake in it. And I love how when you hear someone's stories of producer or a fashion designer, somebody who's working in sports or working in whatever it is, you start to see what God can do through that environment. |
| 1:33.0 | How he can shine from that environment. It's so cool. Yeah, and their picture causes your heart to pray differently when you see somebody maybe a media who is failing like a field marriage of a celebrity couple that you love or somebody in sports who had a terrible injury, it causes you to pray or to think of them as a human being as a person who has a story. |
| 1:50.0 | And I love that about this for those of you who are in the entertainment industry and who have been listening to this and getting inspired because there's people like you out there. Yes, I am so excited about the next season we're going to have so many amazing guests just like season one. |
| 2:04.0 | But we're going for even some some people you've heard of because they're in popular and mainstream culture that you would have never known their God story or God's journey behind the scenes. |
| 2:14.0 | And it'll help you make decisions in your career because you're going to be hearing them. And I've learned a lot through this interviewing people. I interviewed about I think 80 people or or so for a radio series we did back in the mid 2000s. |
| 2:28.0 | And it was really cool to be able to interview people from all walks of life about their faith in their entertainment career. We did people who are in literature and you know people who are movie stars and producers, whatever for the Hosanna Broadcasting network with my friend Sally Robston is called your life with Sean and Sally on the Hosanna Broadcasting network, which is a now it's a network that doesn't even exist anymore. |
| 2:49.0 | But it was a pretty prominent Christian network for a while. And I learned so much and I wanted to bring that same kind of feel to you for this series. But I want it to actually highlight their God's reason how God's bringing transformation through their careers. |
| 3:01.0 | So for me personally hearing Nancy Vu who was in the fashion industry and just you know leaves the financial market and starts to make pictures and they get submitted to Vogue. |
| 3:11.0 | And now she's you know in the fashion industry she's a before and after person like her stuff, her cutour line is being seen all over the place. |
| 3:20.0 | And it's been in you know the cover of Madam Mazzell and on Vogue and and all these different places been featured in all these different magazines over and over and over. |
| 3:29.0 | And she's been able to bring a style that's unique. That's beautiful and appropriate, which I think is so cool. So like hearing her story how God led her from the financial arena. |
| 3:38.0 | And she thought she was going to be a stay at home mom. And then God interrupts it with a fashion career. And now she's been a fashion week every year forever. |
| 3:46.0 | For you know for five years or whatever since you started this one some film awards for short films. I mean, it's wild when you hear the God story or you know hearing somebody like Paul Young hearing his journey of how you know he wasn't working on the movie the shack directly. |
| 4:01.0 | But how he was invited to go in and how the restoration happened in a family's heart because he went in during the filming process. |
| 4:08.0 | And the scenes that were being played were resolving these two people's lives who had just lost someone who was important to them as well. |
| 4:16.0 | And the scenes were all about that loss and that redemption they were played over and over and over and over live. |
