Since I've already gotten a number of comments about it, Re-Animator and From Beyond are NOT Mythos stories, they are just Lovecraft stories. I recommend reading Lurker in the Lobby if you want a full history of Lovecraft stories put to film. For those wondering, my favorite Lovecraftian film is In the Mouth of Madness.
