Close your eyes and imagine you are walking along the ocean.

The salty breeze touches your face.

The waves crash softly on the shore.

The sand is warm and soft under your toes.

As you walk closer to the water, you look down and see small pools of water left by the tide.

These are called tide pools. They are like tiny underwater worlds, full of many different plants and creatures.

You kneel down and look into a tide pool. Under the glittering water, tiny fish dart between the rocks.

A bright red crab scurry sideways,

waving its claws.

Colorful coral paints the bottom of the pools.

Green seaweed sways back and forth in the water.

A sea star clings to a rock waiting for food. You dip your fingers

into the water, it is cool and fresh. Small bubbles rise as tiny creatures move around. Now you walk

to the edge of the water, you put on a mask and swim out into the ocean. Beneath the surface, a whole new world appears.

Bright-colored fish swim past you. A sea turtle glides through the water. Coral reefs stand tall, like underwater castles.

Schools of fish move together like a giant silver cloud. The deeper you go, the darker it gets.

You see a jellyfish glowing in the deep blue.
