You awaken to the sound of the ocean outside, and nest all deeper into the embrace of the bed

in your cozy hotel room. For just a moment, you focus on the relaxing rhythm of the tide,

as you think back on yesterday's adventures here in Nova Scotia.

Smiling at the fond memories, you open your eyes and get out of bed.

Walking over to the window, you can see that outside, the Halifax Harbour is waking up with you.

The dark Atlantic Ocean rocks up and down, as fishing vessels and sightseeing cruises depart

for their morning excursions. The sunlight glinting on the water still has a pink glow,

as the sky slowly welcomes the new day. White clouds hover in the blue, and it looks

picture-perfect. But knowing the weather in this maritime province can change at any moment,

you pack your raincoat at the top of your bag, before meeting your friend for breakfast.

Waiting for you in the lobby, she greets you with a warm smile.

In a few moments, you're seated in the sunroom, overlooking the harbour.

The waiter pours you a mug of warm tea, and you take a sip.
