Do you know there are more than a hundred billion stars in our galaxy alone, and more than

a hundred billion galaxies in the universe, and also that scientists have estimated

that of all the stars that exist, somewhere between 10 and 30 percent have Earth-like planets,

which means the odds of us truly being alone in the universe is practically zero.

You should probably go ahead and say it. Are you saying aliens are real?

No, I'm saying what if we're the aliens?

And somewhere on some distant planet, a couple of neon green best friends are recording a podcast about us.

You know, I never thought about it that way.

I read this incredible book called Do Aliens Speak Physics and other questions about science and the nature of reality?

And it is hilarious, which I never thought I'd say about a book about physics or philosophy, but

it's also this really fascinating exploration of the idea that we're not alone in the universe and

that other intelligent life may have evolved the ability're not alone in the universe and that other

intelligent life may have evolved the ability to study science in the same way or in a completely

different way than us. So what does that mean for us humans? If aliens ever do land here, will we

be able to have a great meeting of the minds or will we just stare at each other in total confusion?
