Today we're exploring the Sonoran Desert, which is one of the most diverse and misunderstood

ecosystems of the earth. I will never forget the first time I was in Arizona and saw a

Sawaro cactus in person and experienced the feeling of being in the desert amidst the sand

and the low humidity, constantly stressed about where my next drink would be coming from.

But man, there is magic in the Sonoran Desert, and we are so lucky to be joined today by

herbalist maker and desert explorer Sonoran Rosie, whose deep love for the native plants of Arizona

has blossomed into this beautiful line of sustainably forged creations inspired by

the Sonoran Desert. We're going to talk all about it, but she was sweet enough to send me a

bundle of Chrysote for my shower. And it's so fascinating to smell these smells that I didn't grow up

smelling, but to her are that symbolism of home.
