Hey, Shalom, everyone. I'm Amir Zarfati, and together with me, Dr. Rick Yon, and this is yet one more chapter of Explore the Bible.

Shalom, Dr. Rick. How are you, my friend?

I'm doing fine, Amir. I'm so excited about what we're going to be doing today.

Yes, yes. The last time we talked, we first remember the great time we had on the Alaskan cruise and we shared with the

viewers some of the photos that you took because you're a master photographer with a gigantic

zoom and camera. Wow. Unbelievable. 500 millimeter lens. Yeah. It's heavier than, I don't know, than a whole suitcase, I think.

But anyway, the last program, we talked, we started talking about the story behind the story, the interpretation that comes after the observation.

So before we dive into our second part of this topic, why don't you lead us in a prayer?

I'd love to do that. Lord God, we are so thankful that you guide us not only to

answer the question, what do I see, but you help us answer the question, what does it mean? And that's

what interpretation is all about. And as we look at interpreting the Bible in a historical way I pray that

you would open our eyes to see and to be able to comprehend especially the

story behind the story which is found in the Old Testament so help us to grasp

not only what we read in the Gospel of John,

but what we read in the Scriptures that came before the Gospel of John. We ask in Jesus' name.

Amen. Amen. Amen. So Dr. Eric, so last time we made it very clear that unless you studied the Old Testament,

you will have hard time interpreting much of what you observe in the New Testament. And we, you took us

through two very, very beautiful examples in the Gospel of John. We looked at chapter

one and we saw how the disciples, excuse me, the, well I guess the followers of John, the

Baptists were literally asking him, the people were sent to him and they asked him,

are you the Messiah? Are you Elijah?

Are you the prophet?
