A rat ran onto the field during last night's New York Mads game,

a staff member quickly caught it and, out of habit,

tossed it to a kid in the front row.

I had some lucky fan taking home a rat.

Yesterday, I thought the reporting on the inflation numbers was kind of dumb because it was so

spun as good news.

The fact that inflation stopped growing at such a rate by a tiny bit.

I mean, a tiny bit.

Yeah, I mean, yeah, it's better than the opposite, but it's barely good news.

Now there's news today that is definitely not good news.

The inflation number you were hearing yesterday, CPI consumer price index, that's the most

widely used gauge to track inflation among the press, but not among economists.

This look at core inflation is the number that an analyst look at to figure out exactly

what our current inflationary pressure is.

And that is inflation, but it excludes.

You take out food and energy because they're so random going up and down.

It kind of sometimes gives you a misleading picture.
