Today is Friday, September 1st, 2023, which means August is finally gone.

Is it just me or did anybody else feel like August was here forever?

If you were ever in the military, you know that,

especially when dates land a certain wave with 1st and 15th,

if you were ever in the military that is the most strung out pay period for people

that are paid twice a month, that there is.

No different than any or a month with 31 days,

and it just seems to work out that way,

where people go 18, 19 days without a paycheck,

and privates in the military tend to make, well, not much more than minimum wage.

How are you going to survive without your beers?

Anyway, I was just having some conversations about that yesterday

with some fellow veterans, and even a couple of people still actively serving.

Anyway, what are we going to talk about today?
