As we begin this guided prayer, give yourself the gift of space, open-minded, open-hearted, open-handed.

Let's meet with God.

At the end of the story of Jesus, we are given these profound and potent words.

He said, I am with you always, even to the end of the age, the end of it all.

I am with you when,, always, where, always, how,

always. Emphatically, God is present. In fact, one of his titles is the ever-present God.

He is our ever-present help in time of need.

As we go through this guided prayer together, my prayer before even turning on this mic

to record this guided prayer was that you and I together

will experience his nearness the manifestation of his presence which i believe will bring comfort

clarity understanding peace stillness, and relief. Thank you, God. Relief.

I want you, if you're able and willing to open your hands, palms up, in that receptive posture, almost reminding

your body and your brain that God is here and I am accepting, receiving, and anticipating

his presence and all that he has to give.

Prayer is just as much about receiving as giving and asking.

So we start there.

Palms up, hands open, heart open. God, we receive. Say that right out loud.

God, I receive. I receive. I receive you.

I receive all that you have prepared for me today.

I receive.

Thank you, God.
