Good morning everyone and welcome back to another mornings with the masters for devote ourselves to the Lord daily with you.

We are picking up with day three of our devotion on the Bible app titled Hope and

Holiness in a secular age.

And as always, I'm gonna read the scripture

that I'm also gonna pick with the Devo.

The scripture is 1st Peter, chapter 1 versus 14 through 17 and they say this.

So you must live as God's obedient children.

Don't slip back into your old ways of living

to satisfy your own desires.

You didn't know any better then, but now you must be holy in

everything you do just as God who chose you is holy. For the scriptures say,

you must be holy because I am holy. And remember that the Heavenly Father to

whom you pray has no favorites. He will judge or reward you according to what you

do. So you must live in reverent fear of him during your time

here as temporary residence. The devotional says this. Understanding our worldview and placing our hope in Jesus

should lead to a distinct way of life.

We're called to live as obedient children,

trusting God's vision of good and evil rather than creating our own standards.

This call to holiness isn't about earning God's favor through good behavior.

It's a response to the love and grace we've already received.
