It is Pittsburgh Week.

Hurricanes travel up to the Steel City on Saturday for a noon kick against Pat Arnuzzi's Pittsburgh Panthers.

Hurricanes in recent years have had some success

last year they did beat uh pittsburgh at home but two years ago it was the panthers that snapped

miami's a big winning streak and well when the hurricanes were number two in the country so

david before we even dive into pittsburgh uh it's been a weird, not a weird week, but I think a lot of

frustration has been taken out by the fan base. I think the folks in Coral Gable has been playing

a lot of defense. It's kind of rare to see a coach like Mandy Diaz mentioned the word rebuild

on Saturday and then say the quote was taken out of context on Monday and then for Blake James to come out and publicly support Manny Diaz.

I think is this I guess what are your thoughts on all this and were you surprised Blake kind of came out and did this?

I mean again we're seven games into the same.

I don't think anyone was really calling for Manny's head.

Well, I think Blake spoke.

I think that was planned for a while, right?

So I think Blake, James, the athletic director, typically speaks at these preseason media days for other sports,

mostly to get media to the event and cover those teams, right?

So Blake was planned to speak at the basketball preseason media day at UM prior to the loss to Georgia Tech.

So that was kind of already planned, and I think it would have been a bad look if they

didn't let him speak after that Georgia Tech loss.

So, you know, it was a basketball media availability, but, you know, football is what
