A casual glance at the condition of our world will reveal just how far away from God our society has traveled.

Political tension, financial instability, widespread violence, and the list goes on and on. All of this is a

reminder that we need revival. In this study, Scott Pauley leads us through a study of the Old

Testament book of Habakkuk and brings a comparison from our day to the day in which Habakkuk served.

What was needed in his day is exactly what our world needs today.

Heaven sent revival.

Let's consider his message and receive help from Habakkuk. I'm often asked in my travels, itinerant work in churches, what are some of the things I'm observing?

Good and bad.

Frankly, there are lots of good things.

There are people hungry for God.

There is a holy dissatisfaction, I think, with the status quo.

There is a generation of people now who realize we need more than what man can manufacture. So that's very good. I'm glad. Certainly,

there are trends that are troubling. There are things that I think must be addressed. It's easy to

speak in generalities and say the same thing is true everywhere, but it's not

because churches are unique, people are unique in every place.

But I will tell you one thing that has been greatly troubling to me.

If someone said, what is the one thing you see that you think is of greatest concern among the people of God, I would say

this, low expectations. So often, we're just biting our time, having another meeting,

going through the motions of attending church services, doing all the good Christian things we're

told to do, and yet with such low expectations.

Why are we praying such little prayers to such a big God?

Why are we believing the Lord for so much less than what God has for us?
