Law. the first to say, welcome to the club. Laws, laws, and more laws. Yes, for you lawyers out there who are Bible book club

listeners, you probably really enjoyed last episode. But this episode, we are moving past the laws. No more law school for you,

at least for today. We did, though, study the book of the covenant, which had laws about social

justice, mercy, worship, the Sabbath. Some of these were kind of weird, weird laws. But they were God's instructions on how Israel would live as a nation, and God is calling these people to a higher standard of love and obedience.

And the specifics of these laws we read, they may have changed a little bit, but the nature and the purpose behind the laws has not changed.

And that is love God, love people.

And all the laws and the whole entire Bible that is love God, love people. And all the laws and the whole entire

Bible really is wrapped up in that idea. Today in the New Testament. Exactly. Yeah. So we also

took a look at the three annual festivals that the Israelites were commanded to celebrate. And they do

still celebrate these today, right? Correct. Yes. So it is the festival of unlovened bread, the festival of harvest or first fruits, and the festival

of in-gathering.

So today we move to chapter 23 and 24.

And we're going to cover two different topics today.

The first is about the angel whom we know and love, and he is going to get

an even greater spotlight. And then we're going to take a look at the Mosaic Covenant, which is
