And when we get started, without a lot of further ado,

we're going to pick up in the beginning of Exodus chapter one.

That's why there won't be a lot of further ado.

I'm not going to recap the introduction that I did last time.

By the time people are hearing this on the interwebs,

they will have that available.

They can go back and listen to it.

The folks who missed it here who might want to recap, sorry.

We're going to sort of dive straight in.

Basically, for purposes of us starting, the main thing recap-wise is to remember that as we

start here at the Book of Exodus, this is the beginning of sort of the main action of the

Torah or the Pentateuch.

That Genesis that we worked through is really a prologue to this.

So as we're going through a thing to do is to sort of be aware of places where things in Genesis are being alluded to or paralleled or there's sort of similar

patterns and those kind of things where we can make those connections, right? Because it is

intended that we make those those kind of connections. So that said, unless there are any

leftover questions or comments or stories about the taxidermy of mad eating creatures, we'll go ahead and pick up in Exodus chapter 1 verse 1.

Now these are the names of the children of Israel who came to Egypt.

Each man in his household came with Jacob.
