We're going to discuss some of the biggest news this week

in the wide world of K-pop.

And we're starting off this week by talking to Korea Herald reporter

Yim Jansu, who has spent this past week reporting on one of the biggest stories right now,

which is the controversy surrounding Chen of

XO and his recently revealed relationship and all of the ensuing

controversy. So, Janzu, thank you so much for calling in.

Thanks for having me. All right, so you wrote a really great piece this week for the Korea Herald on this issue

and the ensuing protest that happened at SM Entertainment.

But first I kind of want to dial it back and give some background information on Chen's initial announcement and basically why it was so surprising and significant.

So do you want to start off by kind of talking about what Chen announced and why it made so many waves both in Korea and abroad?

Sure, so this was last Monday. It was in the afternoon. I was working the office that I got an email from
