Donald Trump's big lie continues to unravel with remarkable speed.

Sidney Powell did more than perhaps anyone to push the bullshit assertion that President Joe Biden's victory over Donald Trump

in last November's presidential election was the result of fraud involving Dominion

voting system machines. Now, however, lawyers representing Powell in the $1.3 billion defamation

suit filed against her have acknowledged that she simply made the whole thing up.

Lawyer Sidney Powell is giving up the game.

A court filing defending Powell from a billion dollar defamation lawsuit from Dominion voting

systems. Her lawyer said the claims she made on national TV four months were not at all true

and too ridiculous to be defamatory.

And that no reasonable person would believe that her false claims and conspiracy theories

about the 2020 election were truly statements of fact. In the court filing, Powell's lawyers

argue that Dominion's defamation suit should be dropped because her claims

were merely constitutionally protected expressions of political opinion, rather than declarations of fact.

In the wake of Trump's loss to Biden, Powell made an array of outlandish sounding election theft claims,

while promising that she would release the

crack in and reveal proof of her conspiracies.
