ago, battling fear and anxiety over Lyme disease, health issues, and the resulting financial stress

at all caused. I felt it physiologically, that visceral anxiety, fear, worry, the what-if all rising up within me.

And I remember hearing the Lord just whisper to my heart. Susie, I have given you authority.

Now take authority. And I'd memorized Luke 1019, so I knew exactly what Jesus was talking about.

He says, I've given you authority over all the power of the enemy. You can walk among snakes and scorpions and crush them and

nothing will injure you. He said, I've given you authority. So take authority. And he just spoke to my

heart. And every time you turn your back on faith to behold fear, you weaken your stance. So turn

your back on fear and behold faith and take authority. So I did. I marched around my house.

And I said, God, you've not given me a spirit of fear, but a power, love, and sound mind. And this anxiety is not from you either.

So I take authority over it. I put it under my feet, and I stand in the authority that you've

entrusted to me. I'm choosing to believe you in this very scary situation. Well, that's what we're

talking about today, is exercising our authority.
