Ooh, a big story at the top of the show. So, for the last few days, Howard Stern has been

blowing up. There was an explosive story. A friend of mine wrote the story for the son, Jessica

Finn, saying that Howard would be cancelled. He is not coming back.

So his contract is up towards the end of the year.

He's on hiatus at the moment.

Howard has this amazing deal.

Not only does he earn $500 million.

You heard that right?

It's a five-year contract, $100 million a year.

That's what Howard Stern has earned for the last five years.

Well, his contract is coming up at the end of the year, and they are renegotiating this.

So this is what happens with these big showbiz, these big hosting contracts. Both sides have to get together and decide how much money do you want? Do you want to raise? Do you want to work less? Do you want to do more work? Like, what is the new deal? Let's remember. In the last five years, the industry has changed so much. Most people now are enjoying podcasts.

Fewer people are listening to the radio.

And so how many subscribers does Howard bring in?

That's the key here.

It's all money.
