One of the family traditions. I think I would call it that a family tradition that we have right before the new year every year

Is I hold a family meeting and we said goals together as a family now those of you that know me are probably laughing right now

But you got to realize probably 10 years ago when we first started this

My kids hated this. I got laughed at

Stuff got thrown at me. It was terrible

But then what happened was I kept my cool kept coming back every year and then they began to achieve some of their goals

They were like, you know what? All right. This is kind of cool

Then they brought friends into the mix and so forth. So picture the scene

You're in my kitchen and we're all around the table and everybody has a big grin on their face. They're cheering dad dad

Let's set goals

Well, actually maybe doesn't go just like that

But so what I want you to do is if you're interested in doing this you will I would just say you will

You'll probably face some resistance from those around you

But if you can make it easy to do and give them a compelling reason to do it

What their life could look like once they said goals it gives them a reason it kind of ties in the goal

To everybody's favorite radio station W I FM what's in it for me as my friend Michael Hyatt likes to say

So what I want you to do is

Give a note card to each person around the table and for yourself and first of all we're gonna do is we're gonna review

How did last year's goals go?

So I like to go around the table and ask each of my kids my wife and your friends have got there that were part of this last year

And I'll ask them hey
