Since we recorded this podcast, we broke a big story on the Athletic

that Arsenal midfielder Matteo Gwendoza has not trained with the

first team since their defeat at Brighton more than two weeks ago. The athletic has learned

that head coach Mikhail Arteeta has instructed Gwendozzi to work alone with a fitness coach

after encountering problems with the player's attitude and general conduct. Now this is a story I've worked on with my colleague James McNicholas.

He and I actually spoke about Guenduzzi on this very podcast a couple of weeks ago.
